Itinerary

1
Day 1: Arrival and meeting in the airport. Yerevan – Echmiadzin – Zvartnots – Yerevan

You will be met at the airport by our guide. The tour will start  in Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of Armenia and the residence of the Catholicos of All Armenians. Guests will visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral and learn about the history of Armenia's adoption of Christianity as its state religion.

On the way, a visit is planned to the ruins of the 7th-century Zvartnots Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable monument of medieval Armenian architecture is considered one of the most outstanding structures of its era.

Transfer to the hotel in Yerevan.  Check-in and accommodation in the hotel.

After a rest  in the hotel,   you  will enjoy a city tour of  evening Yerevan, visiting the city's main landmarks, including the Cascade Complex, Republic Square, the Opera House, and Northern Avenue.

Return to hotel.

Day 2: Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Symphony of Stones – Yerevan

After breakfast, depart for the Temple of Garni, the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia, built in the 1st century AD. Explore the temple and enjoy the scenic views of the Azat River Gorge.

Continue to the Geghard Monastery Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, partially carved into the surrounding rock. The tour then proceeds to the natural monument known as the “Symphony of Stones,” a spectacular formation of basalt columns created by ancient volcanic activity.

After the excursion, return to Yerevan. Free time at leisure.

Day 3: Yerevan – Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank – Shaki Waterfall – Goris

After breakfast, depart for Khor Virap Monastery, located at the foot of the biblical Mount Ararat. This site offers one of the most iconic panoramic views in Armenia.

Continue to the village of Areni, renowned for its centuries-old winemaking traditions. The journey then proceeds to Noravank Monastery, beautifully situated among the dramatic red cliffs of the  Gorge.

After the visit, travel to Shaki Waterfall, one of the most picturesque natural landmarks in southern Armenia. Afterwards, continue to Goris.

Check-in at the hotel.

Overnight in Goris.

Day 4: Goris – Tatev – Karahunj – Yerevan

After breakfast, depart from Goris to Halidzor , to  “Wings of Tatev”  station. Wings of Tatev, the world's longest reversible aerial tramway, stretching approximately 5.7 km across the spectacular Vorotan Gorge. The journey offers breathtaking panoramic views of deep canyons, rugged cliffs, and the surrounding mountains, making it one of Armenia's most memorable travel experiences. The ropeway connects the village of Halidzor with Tatev Monastery and serves as both an impressive engineering achievement and a unique way to reach this historic spiritual center. The ride takes about 12 minutes each way and provides unparalleled opportunities for photography and sightseeing.

Tatev Monastery is one of Armenia’s most important spiritual and historical centers. Founded in the 9th century and perched on the edge of the scenic Vorotan Gorge, the monastery is renowned for its rich history, remarkable architecture, and breathtaking mountain views.

Continue to Karahunj (Zorats Karer), an ancient megalithic complex often referred to as the “Armenian Stonehenge.” This unique archaeological site is surrounded by numerous legends and mysteries and is considered one of the oldest observatory-like monuments in the region.

In the evening, return to Yerevan.

Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 5: Yerevan – Dilijan – Haghartsin – Lake Sevan – Yerevan

After breakfast, depart for the resort town of Dilijan, often called the “Armenian Switzerland” thanks to its lush forests, alpine scenery, and mild mountain climate. Enjoy a short walk through Old Dilijan and experience the unique atmosphere of this charming region.

Continue to Haghartsin Monastery, nestled in a picturesque forested gorge. Surrounded by nature, the monastery is renowned for its harmonious setting, medieval architecture, and peaceful ambiance.

The journey then continues to Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world and often referred to as the “Jewel of Armenia.” Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,900 meters above sea level, the lake is famous for its crystal-clear blue waters, breathtaking mountain scenery, and fresh alpine air. Visit the Sevanavank Monastery, perched on a peninsula overlooking the lake, where you can admire spectacular panoramic views and learn about the monastery’s rich history dating back to the 9th century. There will also be time to enjoy the peaceful lakeside atmosphere and take memorable photographs.

After the excursion, return to Yerevan.

Day 6: Departure

At the mentioned time -transfer to the airport for your flight home.
