Itinerary
Day 1: City Tour
Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport, transfer to hotel. Check-in and rest. City tour of Yerevan. Visit to the History Museum of Armenia and other city landmarks.
Dish of the day: dolma — one of the most famous Armenian dishes, consisting of minced meat and rice wrapped in vegetables such as pepper, tomato, eggplant, or grape leaves.
Day 2: Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan
Cultural excursion day. Departure to Garni — the summer residence of Armenian kings. Visit to the pagan Garni Temple (1st century). Then visit to the Geghard Monastery complex (12th–13th centuries), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Yerevan. Visit to Matenadaran — the scientific research institute of ancient manuscripts.
Dish of the day: khashlama — made from lamb or beef. During cooking, the meat becomes tender and the broth absorbs the aroma of fresh vegetables and herbs. Onion, tomatoes, and peppers are also added.
Day 3: Yerevan – Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots – Yerevan
Trip to Etchmiadzin — the administrative and spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit to the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the museum near the church, and the Saint Hripsime Monastery.
Visit to the Temple of Vigilant Powers, Heavenly Angels — Zvartnots (7th century).
Visit to Vernissage market (open-air handmade crafts market).
Dish of the day: kyufta — pride of Armenian cuisine. According to legend, beef is beaten on a flat stone with a wooden hammer, not turning it into a uniform mass. Water and salt are added during the process. The meat is served in round balls.
Day 4: Yerevan – Dilijan – Sevan – Yerevan

Dish of the day: trout — one of the riches of Lake Sevan, decorating every Armenian table.
Day 5: Yerevan – Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni – Yerevan
Trip to Khor Virap, located on the Armenian–Turkish border. Visit to the Church of Holy Mother of God (17th century). Continue to Noravank Monastery, set on a rocky cliff in a scenic canyon. On the way back, stop in Areni for wine tasting at a local winery.
Dish of the day: khorovats (barbecue) — one of the most famous Armenian dishes. Pork or lamb meat is cut into small pieces, seasoned with spices, marinated for several hours, and grilled over charcoal.
Day 6: Yerevan – Amberd – Yerevan
Trip to Mount Aragats — the highest peak of Armenia (4090 m). Visit to Amberd Fortress (10th–12th centuries). Return to Yerevan. Visit to the brandy factory. Brandy tasting.
Dish of the day: khash — a hot liquid dish made from beef, traditionally served early in the morning. It is served with chopped garlic, herbs such as parsley, celery, coriander, and spicy radish and lavash on the side.
In Armenia, people often prefer milk soups or broths for breakfast. Dried fruits such as peaches, apricots, pears, and apples are commonly served as both main and sweet dishes.
Day 7: Departure
Transfer to Zvartnots Airport and departure.
